(“Sunward Electronics”, “Dog Guard”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, distributes, protects, and otherwise inherits personal information from you (“you”, “your” or “user”) when you: visit or use the Sunward Electronics website located at https://www.dogguard.com (and associated webpages), visit or use any mobile application provided by Sunward Electronics (collectively, the “Application”), or otherwise electronically transmit personal information to Sunward Electronics.

From time to time, Sunward Electronics may revise, modify, and/or update this Privacy Policy. If the Privacy Policy changes, those changes will be posted to this page. You are therefore encouraged to refer to this page on an ongoing basis to ensure you understand and are up to date on the current Privacy Policy.

1. Consent

By using the Application, you accept the policies set forth in this Privacy Policy. If you do not accept the terms in this Privacy Policy, then you may not access, browse, or otherwise use the Application.

2. Collection of Information

Generally, you may browse the Application anonymously without providing any personally identifiable information. However, Sunward Electronics may ask you to provide, and may collect, personally identifiable information at various times and places on or in the Application, including, without limitation, when filling out a contact form, making a purchase, communicating with Sunward Electronics over email or text messaging, and creating an account with Sunward Electronics (“Dog Guard Account”). You may also be asked to provide information when signing up for various services offered by Sunward Electronics, including messaging services (e.g., email or text messaging services). In some cases, if you choose not to provide Sunward Electronics with the requested information, you may not be able to access all parts of the Application or participate in all of its features. All personally identifiable information that you provide will be governed by the terms of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use (located at https://www.dogguard.com/terms-of-use), in which this Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference.

The types of information Sunward Electronics may collect includes your name, contact details, payment information, and any other information you voluntarily provide. Sunward Electronics may also passively collect information about your computer, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type, for system administration and in order to create reports. This is statistical data about users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
Sunward Electronics may use information it collects to provide, maintain, and/or improve the Application or any products or services offered by Sunward Electronics, as well as to process transactions, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations.

Sunward Electronics reserves the right to utilize outside, third party services, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, and through other, ever-changing, passive means of general data collection. All information collected utilizing these third parties is generalized information including but not limited to: IP address, browser type, operating system, generalized geographic data, and means of access (e.g., computer or mobile device).

2.1 Children’s Privacy

Sunward Electronics is committed to protecting the privacy of children. The Application and any Products and/or Services provided or offered by Sunward Electronics are not designed or intended to attract children under the age of 13. We do not collect personally identifiable information from any person we actually know is under the age of 13. Upon learning that a person from whom Sunward Electronics has collected personal information is under the age of 13, we will delete such information immediately except as otherwise required by law.

3. Use of Information

Sunward Electronics may use the information collected through your use of the Application, for example, in the following ways:
   - to improve the Application;
   - to personalize your experience;
   - to send emails/newsletters;
   - to administer contests or promotions;
   - to respond to inquiries;
   - to research user demographics;
   - to describe services to prospective partners, advertisers, and other reputable third parties;
   - to develop new product offerings.

4. Data Protection and Storage

Sunward Electronics takes the security of personal information very seriously and implements a variety of security measures, including encryption and secure servers, to maintain the safety of your personal information. Sunward Electronics continuously monitors our systems to ensure your information is safe and secure, and we are committed to maintaining high standards of data protection to safeguard your privacy.

When you submit information via the Application, your information is protected both online and offline. Online, the Application uses secure encrypted communications, such as the “HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure”, which is denoted by the “s” in “https” at the beginning of the address of each webpage of the Dog Guard website. Any information submitted or maintained through the Application is contained behind secure networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

In the event that you save, print, fax, or otherwise extract or transmit copies of your Personal Information from the Application, you are responsible for maintaining the privacy and security of such information, and Sunward Electronics will not be liable for loss, theft, or any consequences arising from misuse of such information.

5. Cookies and Web Beacons

Sunward Electronics may create cookies on the phones and computers of those who visit or use the Application. Cookies are used to store information, such as the time that a visit occurred, the type of browser used to access the Application, etc. Cookies can be used to customize content for the user (e.g., by displaying previously viewed products). Although they do identify a user’s computer, cookies do not personally identify users or passwords. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can change your browser to prevent that.

Sunward Electronics may also use web beacons to collect non-personal information about your use of the Application. Web beacons are tiny graphic images that are placed on a website or in an e-mail and used to monitor the behavior of the user visiting the Application. The information collected by web beacons allows us to statistically monitor (1) how many people are using the Application, (2) how many people open our e-mails, and (3) for what purposes these actions are being taken. Sunward Electronics does not use web beacons to track your activity outside of the Application. Sunward Electronics does not link non-personal information from web beacons to personally identifiable information. Since web beacons are used in combination with cookies, if you disable cookies, the web beacons will only detect an anonymous website visit.

6. Third-Party Disclosure

Sunward Electronics does not buy, rent, loan, sell, or otherwise share your personal information, including your consent to receive certain communications (e.g., text messages), with any third party or non-affiliated entity, including for marketing purposes, except where (1) you have consented to such disclosure, or (2) required by law.

Sunward Electronics may contract with third-party service providers to assist in better understanding visitors to the Application or to improve the Application. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected through the Application except to help Sunward Electronics conduct and improve its business.

The Application may contain links to the websites or applications of third parties. When you visit these websites or applications, it is recommended that you read their privacy policies. Sunward Electronics is not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of such websites or applications.

8. Opt-out, Remove, or Modify Information

You can opt out of Google Analytics without affecting how you visit the Application – for more information on opting out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites and applications you use, visit this google page: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

You may “unsubscribe” from any or all Sunward Electronics email or text communications at any time without any ramifications. For email communications, this option can be found at the bottom of any email sent from Sunward Electronics. For text communications, opt-out instructions will be provided within the text messages you receive.
