At Dog Guard®, we value each and every one of our Dog Guard® Dealers, who are spread throughout America. There are many benefits to joining our amazing team of Dealers, including financial freedom, day-to-day flexibility, and support from Dog Guard® and our network of other Dealers.
What Does It Mean To Be A Dealer?
Dog Guard® operates in a model similar to that of a franchise. You have complete ownership of your local business, the ability to sell Dog Guard® products, and the support and training you need. But here’s the best part: it’s all without that monthly franchise fee.
You also have the freedom and flexibility to:
Set your own schedule.
Provide quotes (along with your team).
Train customers’ dogs.
And all the other liberties of running your own business!
Becoming a Dog Guard® Dealer usually takes 3-4 months. Within this time, you work with our team to ensure your new business is set up and ready for success.
First, you talk with the Dog Guard® Home Office and express interest in becoming a dealership owner, and from there, our team will contact you and go over more details and information. Then, we will discuss with you where to set up your business. Dog Guard® has locations all over the U.S., and our team will work with you to find a place that best suits you and your interests. Once you have found a spot, we will continue with the onboarding process with your letter of intent, a background check, and a Dealer contract. We can also answer any questions that you may have along the way. Finally, before you open, you will receive all the tools, equipment, and training you need to fulfill your dream of becoming a successful business owner.
We have 75 successful Dealers across the United States.
We’ve been protecting family pets for 34 years.
From 2020 to 2021, we had a 31% average yearly growth.
The gross margin for dealers is 65%.
The average ownership duration is 10 years!
What They Say
Of our 75 Dog Guard® owners, here’s what a few have to say about their experiences and what they love about owning and operating a Dog Guard business.
Jock Brakebill, Owner of Dog Guard of North Carolina. Dealer since 1996: “It is easy to say why we have continued to be Dog Guard dealers for over 20 years – a career that allows us to be our own boss, the flexibility to run our lives as we deem best, and working with a company that makes this all possible.”
Aaron Robinson, Owner of Dog Guard of Louisiana. Dealer since 2007: “I started to do my research and found Dog Guard and called. I spent many hours talking with them. I am totally convinced that I am selling the best product on the market with a company that stands behind the product.”
Gary Agate, Owner of Dog Guard of Greater Pittsburgh. Dealer since 2016: “As I reflect on March 2021, I can’t help but think that what I have been saying all along is that this business is the greatest GIG out there!!! I am very thankful for the corporate team that goes the extra distance to get me the products that I order out the door the next day and for Dean, who is always looking for a way to make our dealerships a place where someone can come in and make a good living!”
